Verbal problems - pg. 7

Using the letters from the phrase EARTH WORM, spell as many words as you can. 2 points, and six letter (or more) words receive 4 points.
ex. them

Everything on earth disappears except you, tigers and a light bulb that magically works without electricity. How would you react? How would you survive?
ex. I'd open a nighttime tiger exhibit.

Name things you can make from a tissue box.
ex. A hat.

In the first go around, the members are asked to give the name of a city beginning with a certain letter of the alphabet. In round two, they give the name of a particular store or type of store also beginning with the assigned letter. In round three, they give the name of a product from that store which also begins with the same letter.
ex. Oakland, O'Neils, Overcoats.

Bugs Bunny is on the phone and will go on strike unless...
ex. He is allowed to join the actor's guild.

Name things that can be covered up, and what they can be covered with.
ex. Hurt feelings can be covered with an apology.

Given a starting sentence such as, "George Washington was the first president," team members, in sequence, take the last word of the previous sentence to start a new sentence.
ex. ... President> Presidential candidate Ollie North is a sure winner.

Name as many different types of wheels that you can.
ex. Car wheel, Wheel of Fortune.

Describe a box of cereal in two words.
ex. Hyperactivity Inducer.

Given an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper tell "what it is." Before the paper is passed to the next team member a piece must be torn off. The paper may be folded or altered in any way, but there must always be enough for the next team member to make a new item.

Name things you can do with a single strand of hair.
ex. Thread or Dental Floss.

Name a famous person and the saying that made him or her famous.
ex. " Here's looking at you kid." Humphrey Bogart

Name things which have "lock" in them.
ex. Warlock.

Name as many things that you can that something goes through, and tell what is on the other side.
ex. If one goes through a tunnel, he or she sees the other side. If I go through a book, I get to the ending.

Name things that smell and what people think when they smell them.
ex. When I smell BenGay I think of grandma.

State as many words, phrases, or sentences that contain the word "scale."
ex. I hate practicing my scales!

Name as many cats as you can.
ex. Leopard, catwalk, Katarina Witt.

Use the word hall/haul in as many unusual ways as you can.
ex. Mom says that she is not going to haul all of our props down the hall for us again this year.

Name things that rock.
ex. Elvis.

Name things containing the word flip.
ex. I am wearing flip-flops to the beach.

If the president came to your party, what kind of food would you serve?
ex. Big Macs.

Name things that enlarge when something is added to it.
ex. Air enlarges balloons.

Name a place you would like to be and why.
ex. In heaven so I can see grandma.

Name things that require a strategy.
ex. Asking your parents for a bigger allowance.

A team member says a number. The next member adds one to that number,
then says another number. The pattern continues.
ex. "5", "6-9", "10-5", "6-12", etc.
