Verbal problems - pg. 10

Name as many different cakes or phrases with the word cake in them as possible
ex. Cake Walk

Word Building: The first person says a one-syllable word, the next person adds a syllable to make a new word and so on. Each word scores points equal to its number of syllables. When a person cannot build a longer word, he or she may begin a new series. The second syllable may change to build a longer sequence.
Ex. with, withhold, withholding, depot, deposit, depositing, depository

List ways to regroup a class
Ex. Blow a whistle

Name jobs people have, and why you would like to have that job-or why not.

State what an antibiotic would do, say, or think after entering the human body.

Name something inside of something that is also inside of something.
ex: Eggs are inside a carton and the carton is inside a refrigerator.

Name forms of transportation

You have one hour to live - what would you do?

What would you do with all the world's garbage?

Name who put the mustache on the Mona Lisa and why?

What would an alien buy at a grocery store?

The team is given 7 letters - A,E,C,M,J,L,and H. The team is to make as many words as they can out of these letters, using at least three letters per word. A combination of letters that do not make a real word can be used, if the person puts it in a recognizable phrase.
ex: Mary had a little LAM.

If you were a jelly bean what color or flavor would you be and why?

A skunk smells, name other things that smell

Name jobs that work with the body.

You've just discovered a new planet - tell what color it is and why

Give the name of a street and who lives there.

Name things or persons that are powerful.

You will be given a three letter key word. You are to think of as many three word phrases as possible using each letter, in order, of the key word. You must use words that start with each letter of the key word and they must be in the same order of the correct spelling of the key word.
ex: If the key word is "OAR", an acceptable phrase would be "OMERs Are Ready'.

Name cartoon characters, and with whom they were associated.
ex: Mickie Mouse and Minnie Mouse

Name animals that you would rather not meet in the woods and why.
Common- A bear, because he might eat you.
Creative - A Myna bird who might imitate you.

Name everything you would find in the principal’s office.

Make up book titles that relate to a vacation a family might take together.

Name things that are general or have the word "general" in them.

Name things that are Bills or have the word bill in them.
